Ford 1.0L receives third straight International Engine of the Year award

Ford Motor Company received the International Engine of the Year award for the third year running.  The 1.0L three cylinder found in many european vehicles, along with our Fiesta, has earned praise for its 123 hp and 148 lb ft of torque (125 lb normally).  This coming from an engine you can store in a carry on bag!  Paul Cerame Ford of Florissant, MO is proud to offer this engine in a 2014 Fiesta and will be able to offer it in the new 2015 Focus as well.

While winning the overall award, the engine also won in the Sub 1.0L category.  The 999cc engine has earned multiple awards and continues to receive positive remarks from journalists, engineers, and owners.  Ford has proven you can get great things out of small packages.  If you’ve never considered a three cylinder engine for your personal car, take notice.  The amount of technology is staggering and Ford plans on great things with this tiny mill.

If you’d like to learn more about this engine and the vehicles that go with it, please stop by Saint Louis Ford Dealer, Paul Cerame Ford.

Looking for a best value in family cars? Ford has it!

Kiplinger has just released their list of the 10 Best Values in Family Cars.  No surprise, the Ford Fusion is at the top of the list.

Kiplinger says, “Winner of a Best in Class award in our 2014 rankings, Ford’s midsize sedan has sporty driving dynamics, a spacious interior and 16 cubic feet of cargo space. A collision-warning system is available on most models, and other options include rear inflatable seat belts (designed to soften the impact of a crash by spreading it over a larger portion of the torso), lane-departure warning with a “lane keeping” system, blind-spot warning with cross-traffic alert (which warns you of approaching vehicles as you’re backing up), and automatic high beams.”

Safety is always Priority Number 1 for Ford as well as for us at St. Louis’ best Ford dealership, Paul Cerame Ford.  We like to know we are giving people a safe, and reliable way to transport their most important possessions, their family.

All of our St. Louis families are important to us.  We have a great selection of Fusion’s on our lot to choose from.  Stop in and drive one and see why the Fusion is not only a top safety pick, but a fun drive.

C-Max Named in Most Fuel-Efficient New Cars

Kiplinger just came out with their new list of the Most Fuel-Efficient cars to buy in 2014.  The Ford C-Max won the category of Wagons.

Kiplinger said, “Ford’s hybrid wagon provides plenty of value to sway buyers. It has a lower price and more power than the Prius v, and it gets a smidge better fuel economy.  Fueling for a year costs $1200.  An innovative, hands-free lift gate feature allows you to open the rear hatch with the kick of your foot under the bumper.”

We love the C-Max here at Florissant’s favorite Ford dealership.  We sell quite a few and the owners have always been happy with the decision.

The C-Max SE gets 45mpg City and 40mpg Hwy.  Those are some seriously impressive stats.  Especially since all that power and fuel efficiency starts at just $25,995.

Come see us here in St. Louis at Paul Cerame Ford and we can set you up with a new C-Max.  Ford has some great rebates on the C-Max for a limited time as well.  This is the perfect time for you to drop by and check out the C-Max.

2015 Model Year Will Be Big For Ford

When a car company comes out with a new model each year, it calls for some attention.  When Ford begins production on its 2015 models they’ll have not one or two, but many new, redesigned or refreshed models.

Let’s start with the big boys, the Mustang and the F-150.  These two alone would be enough for most manufacturers, but not Ford.  These iconic vehicles will be all new and laden with new technology.  The F-150 will use weight saving aluminum body panels instead of steel to save weight and add fuel economy, while the Mustang drops the archaic solid rear axle for a modern independent rear suspension.

Ford will also be releasing a new Edge, the all-new Transit van, a refreshed Focus, a redesigned Expedition, and possibly a redesigned or refreshed Taurus.  Whew!  Not content to let others lead the way in design and technology, Ford will be at the forefront of new technologies, safety features, and vehicle connectivity for years to come.

Paul Cerame Ford, Florissant’s favorite Ford dealer, will have a great selection of these vehicles when they arrive.  The good news is Ford already has great products available.  Stop by the auto show this weekend to see the best of today’s Ford, along with a look into the future.  We’ll see you there!

Best American Cars 2013

MSN Auto just came out with a great article.  In the article, Kirk Bell discusses the resurgence of American Cars and how America is once again competing and out performing Foreign manufacturers.  Here at St. Louis best Ford Dealer, Paul Cerame Ford, we have witnessed the re-emergence of Ford as a Powerhouse.  Mr. Bell mentions that a decade ago things started to change.  Domestic brands began developing new platforms, engines and technologies.  MSN named Ford as the best American vehicles in a few classes.  First, in the Small Crossover, they named the Ford Escape tops.  Mr. Bell stated, “The global C-segment platform that underpins Ford’s Escape and Focus is an impressive piece of engineering.  It gives both vehicles the sophisticated balance of a smooth ride and sporty handling you expect from a luxury brand.”

Of course, it is no surprise the always fantastic Ford Mustang would make the list and it takes the top spot for Best American Convertible.  Mr. Bell notes, ” The Mustang is a fun drive. The 420-horsepower 5.0-liter V8 engine spins freely and builds power quickly, while the 3.5-liter V6 offers a good balance of power and fuel economy, delivering up to 31 mpg.”

As a Ford dealership, obviously, we believe in supporting American made products.  Seeing outlets begin to recognize the fantastic job the American Auto Industry is doing makes us very proud.  The entire Ford line up is waiting for here in Florissant.  Come on in and we will show you some great American ingenuity.
